Hi Margot - thanks for the most recent comment on http://www.pbase.com/image/80974397 Funny that you should say that my colors seem to come from a pallet that only I own. That is one of the reasons that I love pbase and the exposure that it brings me. I never would have noticed! When I take a photo part of my process in Photoshop is to tweak the colors in "Selective Color." I go through all of the colors and adjust them as I see fit - then when I do all of the "arty" stuff - I do it again - so I guess it does get a "look" I like to think of it as a palette of paint - artists get a selection of pigments that they tend to use over and over and which contribute to their style.

Margot - thanks for the most recent comments. The little boy on the hydrant was strange - I spoke to him and asked if I could take his picture and I asked his name and tried a little chit chat but he never spoke or changed his expression. It occurred to me later that maybe he was deaf. If not he didn't seem like a very happy little boy - he was also probably thinking "what's that crazy gringa doing taking a picture of me - just calmly sitting here minding my own business."

Hi Margot - thanks for your visits and comments in my Casco Viejo gallery. I have about 7 more photos to process and post before I go out on another shoot. Probably next Sunday. You mentioned the wiring in this image: http://www.pbase.com/image/80572752 That is very typical of Panamanian tenement housing - we don't have a lot of building codes around here :-) It always amazes me that there are so few fires. Thank goodness it is hot all the time because if there were fireplaces or space heaters the whole place would have burned down long ago!
