These photos were taken during our trip to Tennessee and Alabama during July of 2007. We highly recommend this museum, even if, like us, you are not a particularly big country music fan. The museum has a wealth of exhibits that depict the impact of country music on American life, and chronicle its evolution as a uniquely American musical art form. If you like music at all, you will enjoy this museum.
These images were all available-light shots using a Nikon D50 with an 18 - 200mm VR lens. If you read the EXIF information, you will see that many shutter speeds were at very slow speeds like 1/4 and 1/10 of a second. The 18-200mm Nikkor delivered the goods time after time. Some of the color shots and all the black and whites were processed using a Photoshop plugin called Filmpack that I recently purchased from DxO Labs. It gives photos a less 'digital' and more film-like look that I really like for some images.
