Horned Guan; El Triunfo

Without doubt, the star attraction of the group trip to Chiapas that I was a part of, was Horned Guan. Getting into El Triunfo involves major logistical hurdles, all of which were very capabably handled by Michael Carmody (Legacy Tours) and the folks at El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve.

The group actually saw Horned Guans on four occasions during the three and a half days we actually spent at El Triunfo, before hiking down the Pacific slope. Though none of us were able to photograph one, Highland Guans were very numerous here as well, and their loud displays were a neat thing to wake up to!

These images are sized for higher resolutions, and will look best at something like 1280 x 1024 resolution on your monitor.
