Baird's Sandpiper

Island 13; Lake Co. TN

Baird's have a distinctive flat-backed profile when feeding, usually more so than this.

One of the entertaining things today was that one juvevile Least would have a fit whenever a Baird's got close to it. I never saw it have a problem with any other bird, but the Least was constantly chasing Baird's. One time it displaced three different Baird's within a matter of a minute of so.
