Photos taken in 2007/8 during my stay in the Sonoran Desert north of Mesa, Arizona USA, the Photo Odyssey's 137th thru 139th camps.

More specifically, the photos here were taken in the northeastern region of the desert, which extends much further west into California and south into Mexico and, as can be seen in these photos, the Sonoran Desert is not a barren wasteland like some deserts, but is actually teeming with life, both flora and fauna, at least in this region of it.
