The Boston docks are usually pretty interesting at dawn when there's a cargo ship being unloaded, but when they are out of the scene and the lights are off there's less going on for the full scene. When I arrived this time, in early December on a trip up to Boston to visit a Nantucket Lightship over on East Boston docks, the last 2 cranes and docks around them were lit up. With the moon and the coming dawn it made a good photo but in addition the planes from Logan were taking off and arcing paths around the moon. I closed down the aperture and brought the ISO down so that I could get a good long exposure to show the path then waited for the best dawn light.
