Hi Tim. I was looking through the latest Audubon magazine, a special photography issue. On page 56 there is a photo of sandhill cranes in flight by "Timothy Mayo". This looks so much like your style, that I thought "Mayo" is a typo. Anyway, its great to see your collection of beautiful views of our world. All the best, Rosemary (Yosemite 2008)

Hi Tim:

Tom sent me your e mail of photos. They are truly wonderful and I enjoyed them all. The images of Sonoma County really made me homesick. I'm glad to see you are using your considerable creative energy to create beauty. Take care.

Hello Tim May!

What a fun surprise; your connection with J.T. We love him and consider him one of our family these days. He forwarded the pictures of Joel to us. We cannnot open all of them. I viewed the one of him reading the Chronicles of Narnia with the hat. The others wouldn't load or were on a restricted site. Would you mind forwarding them to me. How are you? You have been traveling a lot I see. I looked at your Mexico gallery and absolutely loved the pictures. I want to take time to look at all of them, but wanted to write to you while I thought of it...........

I would love to send you a paper Joel wrote on his first day of English class. He refers to his love of reading (thanks to you, his favorite teacher) and the rest is quite "Joel". Funny and straightforward. I am too illiterate to scan and e mail it. Shall I send it in the mail? (I can't get him to help me with it, because I am not sure he would want me to send it). He is doing very well. Loving music, socializing a lot, getting a B average that we insist on, practicing jujitsu, tolerating his parents (he is 15) and so on and so forth. Ronnie and I are working part-time now and are aiming at spending a few months a year in Mexico (Sayulita, Nayarit) where we were fortunate enough to buy a rental house. I ride horses and became good friends with Janet Burnett so I keep abreast of the happenings at Cherry Valley. Hope you are well. Best, Veronica

Tim, Thank you for commenting in my galleries. I have been enjoying studying Phil's galleries and I'm always impressed by the reactions you have to his images. I welcome your help in learning all I can about expressive photography.
I've returned some comments on the photos you commented on, but I'm particularly intrigued with what you might have to say on this one,http://www.pbase.com/image/59335574. A new title is needed, what do you think?

Tim - I came across you a while ago searching for images done with the camera I was about to buy at the time. Now I come back to marvel at your cleanness, exposure control and keen eye. Please keep it up. Jens

Hi Tim. I really appreciate your comments on my photos. Positive feedback from someone at your level of expertise really means a lot. But I also equally welcome any critical comments-- while not as enjoyable, they will help me continue to grow. I look forward to seeing you again at another workshop-- I'm sure I probably will.

I have discovered you today, Tim, while visiting Phil galleries, and let me tell you that you are one of the greatest photographers I have ever seen, besides, your self portrait tells me that you are a humble and good heart person. I will continue enjoying all your photos. Best regards. Clara.

Tim - You have beautiful work! It has a quiet and gentleness about it, kind of like a sunrise. I now know which galleries I'll be visiting on a gray, rainy day. Vitamin C for the soul.

I have to force myself to leave your galleries this morning. I stopped for a quick look and was drawn in. I was great meeting you last week in Yosemite and learning from you. I wait with anticipation to see what you will post after you return from Bodie. I will be back often and leave oohs and aahs! I have a gallery at the w_d_p site. I'd welcome helpful critique as I respect your talent and knowledge. vanita

Hi Tim,
Really enjoyed this last weekend with our group at Yosemite. Your images blew me away. I have been playing with the color range and curves and might be getting the hang of it thanks to your clear explanation of the process. john

Thanks for the comments on my work, Tim - I appreciate your words. The Sedona shot was one of a series of photos for my brother Steve, who is a clarinetist in Vermont. He wanted something 'different' for a poster - I'm not sure which one he'll choose, but he'll have some fun with it! Enjoy your photos as well - keep up the great work!

Tim - thanks for your recent visit to my galleries and the kind words.
I just revisited your New Mexico galleries, they're delicious.
I especially love the winter ones. Maybe this year I'll make it a
point to go in winter. And Yosemite is gorgeous. I'm always looking
for good workshops as an excuse to get out west.
I actually just got back from a week in Taos and a week in Santa Fe.
ohhh the light. I've posted some new galleries (natch).

Hi Tim,
I viewed all of your brilliant photos and was hard pressed to choose just a few to comment on, so your guest book is my lazy alternative. I must say that your talents in both photography and Photoshop are amazing. You have a great eye for color and detail and a creative wit with your titles. Keep 'em coming! I have you bookmarked.
