Hi there, just found this site.
My Gt Gt Grandad Giuseppe Cardinelli left Rovinaglia in 1848.
He walked to London.
His mother's maiden name was Giacopazzi (common in Rovinaglia).
A grandmother's surname was Dora.
So there appears to be links here to my ancestors.
If anyone out there is still reading this website and thinks we're related, get in touch.

Hi, my mum is Carolina Ferrari (1933) and is from Rovinaglia, her mum was Angela Dora and her dad was Lorenzo Ferrari. We live in Southern England and would love to find other family members.

Re: Rovinaglia I'm researching the Dora family history and can trace back to 1674. If anyone can fill in the blanks on the Dora`,Cura`,Ferrari,Del nevo, Cardinelli,Brattesani,Orzi and the Delgrosso families in Borgotaro and Scotland would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Steve and John

Looks like we are related too. Guilio and Anne Dora are my first cousins. My mother was Matilda Dora sister to Charlie, Peter and Sarry. I am increasingly being drawn to Rovinaglia..eerie. I did visit in 2003 having met Anne in Bedonia and she showed us the way to Rov. It was there I met Catterina--she was exactly the same as I remembered. Lovely!very best wishes to you all

Hi John,
I'm Giulio's son....Joe & Alma live just a few streets away from us in Carnoustie! Catterina is dad's Auntie...and Anne in Bedonia is his cousin.
Take care

How are we related?

I'm John Dora, son of Joe and Alma from Arbroath (they're now in Carnoustie). Last visited Rovinaglia some 5 years' ago when we visited Anna at Angela and Charlie's daughter at Bedonia...have been there three times visiting Dad's cousin Caterina each time.

Re: Rovinaglia.
Hello,
Your pictures came up on a google search of Rovinaglia and i was curious as to your connection if any with the village? My father is from Rovinaglia and has a small farmhouse that he spends a few months each summer at.
My wife and I are planning a trip there this upcoming summer and I've been online looking for pictures to show her.
I'm also wondering if you happened to fly to Italy, and how close to Borgotaro you were able to get via flying.

Thank you,
Carlo Ferrari
