A pod of baby alligators.....

The group of babies (known as a Pod) are protected by the mother for about a year. The Alligator moms are among the most nurturing of the reptiles. Imaged at 6 weeks. A very reliable source indicates that the original pod consisted of 16 although the current count is a few less. The remaining babies are next to mother, a few feet from this group.
