On Feb 11, 1983, the AP headquarters in New York
started its efforts to bring me out of Vietnam.

The rescue attempt has been coordinated between Carol Gucciardo
of the AP in New York,
with the then AP Bangkok Chief of Bureau Denis Gray
and Mr. George Esper,
the last AP Chief of Bureau in Saigon
when the South Vietnam fell on April 30, 1975.


I am adding this document to my album in memoriam George Esper who just passed away
on Feb 02, 2012.
