El Jem, South Tunisia 05.03

El Jem is situated about 64km from Sfax in central Tunisia, and is the home of one of the most spectacular roman ruins in the world. The Amphitheatre in El Jem is the largest Roman monument in northern Africa and thanks to restoration work from the Tunisian government also one of the best preserved.
