They are showing up everywhere this week, so why not in Memphis? There were 3 over in AR at some fish ponds and another at the Duck River TN-NWR this week.
I found this bird feeding at the North Treatment Plant and it was an added bonus to the BB Whistler quest. The complete collar is found more often on the interior subspecies "circumcinctus" and the black color is most often seen on males.
