Inca Doves were long over due to appear within TN state lines as they have been speading eastward and recently bred in AR and MS. I found a single bird in Ensley Bottoms on May 4, 2005 and was able to get one quick shot of the bird as it fed along a gravel road on May 5th.

Theresa Graham, of Tennessee Warbler editing fame, now has a single Inca Dove coming to her feeder in Oakland TN, in Fayette Co, just east of Memphis. I got a very poor photo of my bird but she took some fine photos of her bird.

TOS members Keith and Peggy Kunkel gave everyone a nice Christmas Present on Dec. 26, when they announced that a Golden-crowned Sparrow was frequenting their feeder in Covington, TN in Tipton Co, just north of Memphis. Here are few photos taken very late in the day of an adult Golden-crowned Sparrow.
