Nice Photos and Website. I joined your club 2-3 years ago, and unfortunately had many home issues and could not continue. Those issues are resolved. Hope the club is still active. I will go to Estaban park on Sundays and start there. I started CL flying when I was 11 years old (now 50). I know CL needs any and all support and would like to help. Happy Control Line Flying.

I will send you some of my personal links after I return home to Cottage Grove, Oregon.

Hi Jeff!
Thanks for your comment on my Halloween post including Elizabeth Battery. Around Halloween there was a long documentary on the tv about vampires. I found it very interesting. Sooo. I watched it & took notes. And details. Lots of watching, writing, rewinding, more writing. Then I put all my notes together into what you read. That one post gets many hits.

You have some nice photos here. And I see by someone else's comment, you are on KIVA. I am also. What a great way to help someone. I loaned money early this year to 2 people. One was paid back & reloaned. The other should be repaid soon. A nice feeling.

My main blog is listed in my WordPress blogroll as Multiply Blog. I have photos & videos there. The blog you read is a copy of it because it shows up on my FaceBook account.

Thanks for stopping by. Come by again!!!

Take care. Julie-Ann

Thanks for taking time to respond to my post. I think it is unfortunate that we live in a disposable society, which is becoming a world wide problem. So much money is wasted. It is too bad the ones who abuse the "system" take away from the ones who really need the help.

I have a Smokey, too. Gray and white but lighter in color. He was very sick at the end of 2005...I was sure he was dying. The vet said he had cardiomyopathy. Guess what? It was the vaccine that made him so deathly ill! I gave him baby Motrin and he snapped out of it. He'll be 16 in July...we celebrate on the 4th with a can of tuna and some good catnip. He lost his litter mate Snowball about five years ago. I have little faith in veterinarians after what my poor kitties have gone through.

Thanx for sharing your pix of Smokey.

Hey Jeff,

http://www.pbase.com/image/43005719

This car lot is in Moyock, NC, just south of the Virginia-North Carolina state line. The '60 Impala was actually bought by one of my customers about 3 weeks ago. This particular car only had about 35K miles on it!!

Part of my sales territory is the Outer Banks of North Carolina and I go by this car lot at least once a week when I head south to see my customers in NC.

Apparently, the owner of the business locates "classics", old Corvettes, muscle cars, etc., and offers them for sale. Recently, he had a 1967 Pontiac GTO for sale, which is one of my favorite "muscle cars".

Hi Jeff,

I do have MS Powerpoint. Sad to say, everyone of the photos in my galleries are mine. I would not say that I am an "artist" but more of a "snapshooter" guy who loves cars, cruise 'ins, and car shows. Sometimes I take the time to crop or enhance my photos and often because of my travel schedule, I simply add a photo to a Pbase gallery without any attempt to crop or enhance the image.

http://www.pbase.com/image/44640934 This particular shot was taken during last summer's Beachcombers Corvette Club Car Show in Great Bridge, a community in Chesapeake, VA, not far from where I live in Virginia Beach.

We need more men/w like tillman in this world. To believe in a cause much larger than that of material prospect. We have many great leaders in this country, for example Lt.Colonel Scott Rutter, ME-vl-Parsa Mohammadi and Pat TILLMAN, but unfortunately in today's America no one wants to give back to their country. America can be analogized as the banking principle: If you dont put money in, you wont be able to withdraw any funds. We need-and we must invest in this great nation.

God bless you Tillman Your gone but I still can't let you go- Went Sky Diving Yesterday-out of Eastern LI and I thought alot of you- Peace MY BROTHER IN ARMS

Jeff,
I was looking at my husband's site this morning, and I found a comment that you had written regarding a Von Dutch bike, sorry I do not know anything about it, but I did come across your pictures. As I strolled through the gallery for Tarina I began crying- I send you and your family my deepest sympathies. I love your galleries, and your daughter has touched my heart today-I am sure that she has done that to many people. I hope you have a blessed day.

Shed a few tears for Tarina - very very moving gallery; and the same for Pat Tillman - brave bugger just trying to save the kid beside him, according to msn article today on friendly fire (didn't like the slant the author put on it, like it's never happened before and that the Rangers are to blame or something: if "all" friendly fire incidents from Mycenaen pre-Christ times to now were analyzed and disected it would simply come out as 'shit happens' - those troops'll be trained, etc., and the event may prevent '10 other friendly deaths' in the coming months: but it is 'so' too bad it had to be a patriot like Tillman, giving up millions of dollars to go over and pitch-in the ultimate, for his country. I wish they'd name a Pat Tillman Day, for such patriotism, a truly awesome person. And thank you, Jeff, for a great tribute to your daughter Tarina, and to Pat as well. Whoever views your great pictures will feel the same I'm sure. The best to you, in this world.

Hello Jeff
I sure enjoyed your site and thanks. I wanted to say that I am from Southern Oregon and my dad has a large ranch. Our neighbors that borders the South end of the ranch is the Knapp family and they are great folks. Louis (Louie) Knapp originally purchased the Knapp Ranch and Louis was born in the late 1800's and was a very good friend of mine. Louie bought two ranches, one in Port Orford, Oregon (the town that the Knapp Hotel once stood) and one in Langlois, Oregon. Louie turned the ranches over to his nephew (Harold Knapp) because he never married. Louie died in the early 80's in his latter 90's and I attended his funeral. Since Harold Knapp died, his sons (Mike and David Knapp) run the ranches and David has a son named Jeff Knapp. These folks are well respected in our communities and are great freinds of mine. I am sure that you may be related to them and I guess that your site was not asking for input on possible family trees, but from what I read on your site, you sound like you have alot in common with the Knapp friends of mine here in Southern Oregon.

God Bless
J. Kamph

Hi Jeff...The Sony Mavica FD97 is a 2 Megapixel Camera that produces file sizes in the range of 600-800 Kilobytes. All of the pictures in my gallery were resized to load easy. The FD97 has an EXCELLENT 10X optical zoom with an image stabilizer for steady shots. I have taken many satisfying photos with it. Having said that, I am going to attempt to sell the camera, as I have just purchased a new Canon SLR and lenses and I'm not in need of the second camera. It sold new for $899 and I would sell it for $450 with extra battery, charger, and memory stick. (It uses memory sticks as well as floppies). Thanks for you comments on the Gallery. It helps my confidence!!!

Jeff, thanks for your comments on my photos, grubby as the red "blooming" flowers are! I'm looking through Smokey's gallery. He ought to meet our trouble-making fuzzy twirp--Cashel the Overly Enthusiastic Maine Coon. You live in a beautiful state. We were in AZ last fall--Canyon de Chelly, Monument Valley--and had a wonderful time. The sceney is just knock-your-socks off majestic! Best to you, Jackie Lane

Its me again. First I would like to say that Im sorry for your loss. I lost my first wife to cancer in 1999. I was in a very searious vehical collison in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I remember thinking about my wife and looking at Old Glory that was flying on my truck at the time after the wreck. Your picture of Tarina and Dad gave me chills. A really nice picture under the circumstance. And what a beautiful name Tarina. Thanks for your Stars and Stripes photos again. Keep up the good work. A. Weaver

I love to see Old Glory no matter where she flys. But for you to Put it on Pbase for me to look at is Awsome. Im stationed in Germany and the only time I see her is when I go out my front door and see her in the garden and the one that flys on post that I have to go out of my way to see. Great gallery and God bless

Jeff, I am so sorry to see your loss. It is so weird that last night I dreamed that both of my children [son age 15, and daughter age 12] were killed in an accident. I awoke in a horrible sweat and shake. I hugged and kissed each of them this morning when I saw them and thanked God that they were still save and alive. I hope that you have tons of support, and remember that God has a plan, and he is ALWAYS in charge. I hope the best for you and those left behind with you. ~pj

Hi Jeff, Thank you for visiting my gallery and your kind words. You too have some nice coverage for the peace rallys in Phoenix. Also I liked the American flag gallery, it is a good idea... Some people think that you cannot be patriotic and also support the peace effort at the same time. I have a collection of American flags that I started after the 9/11 tragedy. I would like to make a gallery of that collection.

Jeff, my heart goes to you for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I can't imagine what you are going through. I was moved by it. I am sending my deepest condolences to you and your family.

Keep up the good work and please visit again.

Best regards, M. Sami

Loved the pictures of the old cars. Whenever I see then I get the wants. I sent your link to a few friends that like old cars. Tarina looked like a beautiful sweet young lady. I pray your sorrow will be tempered with the love for others left in your life.
Your site is terrific... Kimocall.

Now I've updated my site with some more Lego. This time it's a Star Wars comic. It took me two days to do it, I think it'll be easier the next time.... if I consider doing anything more. I'm from Sweden and live here as well. My girlfriend is from Pacific Grove and she lives here with me now. It's a lot colder over here, she says, but it's worth it. Of course she longs for California every now and then, but changes can do you good once in a while. Have a great day!

Thank you for the nice compliment. The Wizards game was the first time that I used my camera at an event that was worth capturing. Actually, I feel pretty fortunate to have photos of MJ now that he is retired.
