Hi Audrey. I knew your sister Val as she and my sister (also Val) were pals at Sullivan Upper. We lived in Church Road. My sister has lived in Canada since the early 60s. We popped past your old house last year on a visit to Holywood.
If you have your sister's e-mail, I'd love to send it on as I'm sure both would like to get in touch.

I am Audrey McCune and I lived in Abbotts Wood--- my sisters are Valerie and Pauline and my brother is Jim. I now live just outside Aviemore. I would love to hear from anyone from my childhood!!! Jim still lives at home in Helens Bay, Pauline in Northumberland and Valerie in Suffolk. I heard recently that, sadly, Michael Carson has died.

marvelous memories, i grew up in holywood in the 1970s and rarely get back these days.
your photos got me all dewy eye'd.

as others say, togs, and also shannons, and the two sweet shops at the bottom
of downshire rd... i guess sweets dominated my life in those days.

i really liked the shots of twisle bridge, but lemmonfield, and the back enterance to sullivan
are missing from the "school kids cut-thru guide" :)

thanks for putting the photos up.

Re: Bell's Bakery - used to be in High street (I think). Austin (son of Tommy) is still living in Holywood as is his son Michael Bell. Tommy's daughter Elaine (or Aline as she was known locally)passed away several years ago. I am Stephen Hulme son of Elaine & Tommy's other Grandson. I also lived in Holywood (Lemonfield)until I recently moved to Groomsport - I miss Holywood!

Hey Paul,
It't nice to have a look at your pictures. Those are gorgeous! Actually I was the student of QUB but I already back to Hong Kong now. Best of luck!
