I enjoyed your comments about re-discovering your love of photography. I'm going through the same thing now and am probably going to buy the Canon 70D. You made several comments about using software instead of the built in HDR feature and I also noticed that adobe seems to be your choice. Is that currently the situation? Have you found something better? Simpler? Your response would be very helpful.

Thank You, Tim Tieman

Hi Peter,
I looked through all the pictures in your galleries. You have special eyes in normal places. The angles where you take the pictures make any ordinary scenes extraordinary. You said it is your passion, yes, it is your gift and talent also. Thank you for sharing. I'll forward your web site to Mercy. She would appreciate it also.

Hi Peter,
I was drawn to your galleries by an image of yours that was on the front page of Pbase…
Then I realised that you're a believer and I was doubly thrilled!
I'm a free church pastor from the south-west of England and was recently at the Radicalis Pastors Conference at Saddleback church. Whilst there I took a number of pictures at places you have visited, such as Redondo Beach, Newport Beach, the Getty Center, etc.
I've enjoyed my journey through your galleries and hope to return again soon. It was especially good to see the gallery of the Chinese Evangelical Free Church!
May God continue to bless you and your family.
Sincerely in Christ,
Chris Spracklen

Hi, Peter. I am the president of the Girls' Choir of Wilmington. You photographed our group and have it in your Ground Zero set of photos. We have great memories of this trip and the emotions of performing at Ground Zero. Your photos are a wonderful reminder. Any chance we can post these on our Facebook page for our members to see? Thanks!

Hi Peter,

For shooting inside galleries, do you prefer the 17-55 or 17-40, and why? Thanks in advance !

I enjoyed looking at all your Southern California scenery pictures. The only site missing is a trip to the Huntington Library!

I like your shots all around L.A. -- my neck of the woods too, so you've given me some good ideas. I particularly like your architecture shots.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for stopping by my Paris gallery. The shot was taken while crossing Champs Elysees (there's a little pedestrian island in the middle where you wait for green light) near the Grand Palais. I used a 70-300 lens.

Peter, I'm glad you resumed your interest in photography, because it's been a pleasure to view your work. I especially enjoyed your travel photography, but it's obvious that you put a lot of care into the presentation of all of your photos, as shown by the high quality of their rendition and detail. Have added your galleries to my favorites for a return visit. Thanks for sharing your work!

I love your wide angle Europe pictures, especially the ones inside cathedrals with dark interior. 8 nights is indeed not enough, wish you could have taken more.

Nice album! Will check out the rest of them later!

maybe that "bleed" is just the wide aperture oversaturating the colors a tad
Ben S 04-Apr-2005 07:19
you have some striking photos. great color.

"stranger in a strange land" and "black and red" i find wonderful.

one small constructive criticism, some of your images have the slightest bit of color bleed, might want to work on that (steadier hand, quicker shutter?)

reason i found your gallery is am looking at the tamron 28-105 f2.8 lens. any and all comments you could share would be wonderful

thank you,

ben
