Brilliant photographs, really enjoyed looking at them They also helped me to identify the birds I took when visiting Nova Scotia and New Brunswick this autumn. Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon

Hi Dr. Stern.....we loved your pictures of Brier Island of course, one of our most favorite places in the world. Also looked at your pictures of Italy and recognized many of the same places we have visited. The bonus was seeing Mel and Ginny. Your pictures are just out of this world and thanks so much for sharing them with us all.

I did enjoy spending time in your gallery - So many beautiful birds, but not a single "Liverbird"! Did you know that Liverpool has at least 100 adorning its buildings?Best Wishes- - - Viv.

Please, may I seek your opinion? I am a birder/photographer from NB and am about to upgrade to a DSLR. I cannot decide whether to go Canon or Nikon. Can you help me? I was looking at Nikon D60 vs. Canon Rebel XSi (when it comes out). I am shying away from the Nikon D300 and Canon 40D because of the weight with a long lens. What would you suggest? I photograph mainly birds and other wildlife, with some scenery. Any insights you could give would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I love your work.

Hi Richard. You have always been modest about your photographic achievements. The work you continue to produce is going to make that increasingly difficult! Inspirational to everyone who sees it. Keep it up!

One other thing: the photos should be of adult gulls only.

Dear Richard Stern,

We would like to acquire one of your photos, pb-peeps4.jp, for a computer interactive about birding sites in Canada for our new Bird Gallery, opening at the Canadian Museum of Nature in October. Has this picture been taken on Brier Island?

If you could please contact me via e-mail to discuss copyright and use.

Best Regards,

Richard, I found a photo of yours from another website you belonged to and have been trying to find you ever since. It was a photo of a rose spoonbill. You took the photo on Sanibel Island, FL. I work at an ad agency in Naples, Florida and want to use your photo in a logo for a client. Is it possible for you to sell me the rights to it? So I can use it for the logo. The client loves the photo and I would need it to scan at a higher resolution. If you can give me a price for the usage. Thanks for any help. Kathy Taylor B-Squared Advertising. 239-593-3600

I am working for a non-profit organization (Friends of the Cornwallis River Society)in Kentville and was wondering if i could get permission to use a couple of your shorebird photos. We are working on a shorebird project with DNR and are putting together some poster boards and curriculum that will hopefully be adopted by some of the neighboring schools. The purpose of this project is to teach the children the importance of the area they live in with respect to the shorebird habitat. Our area is part of the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network and we feel it is important to educate the children and community about the importance of our site. Your pictures would add to the presentation of our poster boards. You would receive credit for the use of your pictures.

I found your photos from the NatureNS posting you made yesterday with the current pictures. Quite a weekend you had. Very interesting. Also interesting to see you diverted your attention to some other airborne subjects at the airshow. I've been following in somewhat the same paths. E.g.http://www.pbase.com/gordeaux/birds andhttp://www.pbase.com/gordeaux/airshow in case you're interested. Cheers.

Hi Richard:
Just wanted you to know that I have been enjoying your website, especially the team pictures of Ecuador. I have the bottoms up, complements of "Yoga Murhphy" as my wallpaper and most of the office folks think it's a hoot. I am also in withdrawl and your pictures are a good tonic.
Best Regards
rob

Hey Dick! It's midnight on Friday and I just scanned all your Ecuador pictures. Just what I needed after all week because I am in serious withdrawal. They are great. Thanx so much for being our photographer. I put my film in today at Carsand Mosher and they will be ready for pick-up tomorrow. Can't wait 'til next Saturday! Take good care. Hope you and Liz (and the boys and dogs) had a great week. Kudos! T

Hi Richard,

What a treat your pictures are! I downloaded a few as pick-me-ups as I slice and dice gums all day!

Warmest regards,

Lynn
