Over some 10 years, from the early 1990s to about 2003, my photographic passion was hummingbirds. From backporch birds in the Tennessee summers, to travels out West and beyond, I persued these "flying jewels" in Mexico, Costa Rica, and to a peak experience of abundance and splendor in Ecuador. The following pages represent a sampling from those visits.
