Dear Renee: What a pleasure & privilege to meet you 1-1/2 weeks ago at the Reagan Library and, particularly, for you & Tim to spend over an hour with this freshman flight enthusiast & FSX devotee. You are an incredible gentleman & ingenious photographer (as is Tim, with his aviation specialty at LAX & other airports). As I only arrived back in Detroit from L.A. this morning at 6:00 (and over to Windsor within 1/2 hour), I've been on the go all day (beautiful weather here too-almost 60F today and will be in the 60s for the next few days . . . big pig roast here in the U. of W. student ghetto [at a house across the street] for St. Patrick's Day, starting 9:00 a.m. Tuesday. My socks were blown off by your photographs & your vision, although I only had about 10 minutes to check out just a few of the albums. Your young son, Lukas, is a great-looking little guy, and your beautiful wife photographs exceptionally well (for someone in the hospital just after delivery). I reported (faithfully) to the southernmost runway alongside the mile-long stretch of cargo bays at LAX - last Saturday, Mar. 7/09 for 3:30 p.m. and shuddered underneath you as you lifted off at 3:38 p.m. PST - what an experience, to have been speaking at length with you only 24 hrs. before. Save the gushing, this was a really big deal for me - and on several occasions this past week, I was drawn back to the image of you in the cockpit of such a magnificent machine at only 34 years old - the context of it all is overpowering to the layman. Hoping for a repeat (maybe not at your hands), I was back at the same area by the "Flight Path Museum" on the serviceway - yesterday, Sat., Mar. 14th about 4:00 p.m. and, guess what, another Singapore Air "MEGA ARK" started chasing the sunset over the Pacific at about 4:23 p.m. PDT. Hopefully, it may have been Renee again, because I got some of my own pix on a new Kodak side-grip camera I bought the day after I was shamed by you, Tim and your awesome gear. I will follow up with a personal g-mail by the end of this week. No need to reply - you've got your hands full, man. Ciao! Bonne Chance! John Devine, Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Gorgeous images. I especially like "35000 Feet, Between United States And The Russian Federation"-- the colors and subject matter are awesome.

The pics are great but was the HK night shots taken with high iso on purpose as the noise seemed quite high in them. :)
Oh and by the way the correct address for my site should be: h t t p://decreate.smugmug.c o m
Sorry about the spaces as it wouldn't let me post the link without logging in.

Hi Rene' - thanks for stopping by my gallery - look for some new Tall Stacks stuff coming in October. The shot of Sydney Harbour is still a fantastic shot... even if the moon had to be added! :o)

Cheers!

Hi Rene, yes, I remember the trip late last year :-)(DXB, LON, BRU).
Good to see you joined PBase and from the looks of it, you'll be uploading lots more photos in no time. Yep, 400MB will give you lots of room!
Hope to catch you again some time soon. EK
PS: Thanks for dropping by my galleries and the nice compliment too!
