UV

As mentioned by Carl in his comments, I have also read that the virus does
not enjoy the sun as much as we do. The UV rays apparently penetrates
the virus coat and destroys the genetic material that would hi-jack our cell’s
machinery to make more viruses.
Living in the Pacific Northwest with limited sunshine,
I’m afraid that our mask sterilizing opportunities are somewhat limited.

How wise and smart. Yes you need to give your masks an extra rinse. So do we. Just in case. Stay safe Ray. VV.

Like the color of your maks and your mask caddy.
Plenty of sunshine here, though I avoid it. Could always hang the mask outside.

The utilization of UV to combat Covid is one of the means of prevention and only certain UV light (UVC) is effective but unfortunately highly damaging to human cells...V

yes, sunshine is not common enough here...still, might as well grab some rays when you can...at least you have a good helper to count on..

The birdie has the right idea then! Explains why its always fall/winter we get flu bugs more often.
