“Spaciousness as a Concept” by artist Ben Frey

“The artist explains that his mural discusses the sacrifice of personal
space and comfort to live within a major city. As cities grow denser,
the size of housing-units or otherwise decreases. In this mural you
can see a man struggling to fit inside of his apartment as noise,
pigeons, dogs, and the calamity of the city reaches in.”

“It’s no secret that Vancouver is undergoing rapid development and
densification. This mural serves as a reflection for the sacrifices that
come with development.”
