LOVE your photography! We were doing some research for stainedglass windows that we are building for one of our clients and happened to find you and your spoonbills on-line. You are a true artist as well! Seems we share similar interests as well from home renovations to nature! Good luck as the space program takes a breakand please look us up on our website some time! Donandelaineartglassstudio.com You may see some of your inspiration in the works!

I'm trying to get Lakeland Terrier grooming info. from Julie. At one time, she had a "tutorial" on line but I'm unable to find it anymore. My 12 year old Cherry Creek female is clipper groomed and I have a new groomer who is unfamilair with the breed and its grooming points. I would appriciate her help.

Beautiful photos. Thank you for making them available for so many to enjoy! Do you sell prints?

What an absolutely wonderful collection of all kinds of photos, from Shuttle launches, we are especially interested in them, along with the photos of all the wonderful nature to be found around Cape Canaveral, Florida. We visit this area every winter, staying at Manatee Hammock from January into April. We also visited the Grand Canyon in 2007 while travelling across the United States to California.
Greetings from Welland, Ontario, Canada. Can't wait to share these photos with friends!

i didn't take time to look at them all yet, but the ones i did see are great pictures, rod!!! i will be returning often until i see them all!!! i work out in the field all day and just dont have the right lens yet for either film or digital.....
had our work camera one day and caught some t.vultures working over a dead gator in one of the canals. one of those times a really good camera would have caught a beauty of a shot!! anyway, please keep them coming!! thanks, bill

I'm just learning about the Viera Wetlands in Brevard County. I work for DEP in wastewater wetlands, so I knew about the facility; however, I was unaware of the extent of the wetland trail and public access that the wetland provided.

If you like that kind of this, we also have two other wetlands in Palm Beach county and one in Orlando that may be of interest.http://www.pbcgov.com/waterutilities/waterfacts/green_cay.htm

Debby 04-Aug-2006 13:24
I truly enjoyed the gallery. Rich Lundgren, who works at NASA and has been a long time friend, sent me your page of the shuttle pics, but my favs are the wildlife. You have caught the essence of the wild florida and other places. I used to live near a creek in Orange Park and used to see a lot of these animals and birds in their natural habitat and it brought back memories. I have visited most of the places where you took the photos. Thank you for sharing. I wish I could do as well with my photos! Do you ever do shows or give lessons on taking pics?

This message is for lito. Spamming my galleries with your "brain dead" comments is what got all of your comments deleted. Spamming the nice folks that leave comments here only further incriminates yourself. Try getting a life...

Rod, your photos make a "budding" photographer jealous. THey are beautiful. Thanks for sharing them.

Question: How do you get the photo "on top" of the gallery. I like that touch and would like to try it.
Thanks

My friend's daughter Danielle works with you and sent the website to a lot of her friends so we could see the pictures of the launch. They are just beautiful and awe-inspiring. I was surprised to see all of your other gallleries as well, especially the Merrit Island and the Titusville ones. Back in 60-62' my family lived on Merrit Island when my dad worked on the Mercury space project. Then we lived back in FL in Titusville in 66-68' when he worked on the Gemini space project. So I still have a special place in my heart for the area. It has grown and changed so much. I enjoyed the photos very much. Keep up the great work and good luck.

This is a fabulous gallery, Rod. I'm in the Orlando area and am looking forward to visiting the places you've shown me here. I got the 100-400L lens recently and have been thrilled with its capabilities. I see that you have put it to very good use as well.

Rod, great shots...all of them. I shoot launches as part of my job, check out my website., Judging by some of your shots I'd say we must have met at some point and not known it. The shot of Discovery through the palm trees during rollout is similar to mine.

www.LaunchPhotography.com

But even aside from the Cape shots, your bird and wildlife photos are fantastic, as are the travel shots! I try to get into MINWR to shoot once in a while. I haven't posted those photos on my website yet though.

Antelope Canyon is one place I hope to visit. I love the Southwest; one of the greatest experiences for me and my photography was hiking up the Narrows in Zion. A must if you haven't done that yet.

Feel free to contact me, DeHBeaver0@aol.com, maybe you can give me some advice! Regards, -Ben

Thanks for the kind words Wally. I think you'll do just fine with the D-70. I'm working with a Nikon D100 at work and it's a clean camera. The landing should be a little dark. If you can get me in with you, drop me a line. Cheers!
Wally 02-Aug-2005 01:46
Great pictures of the shuttle launch. I was at the launch also, but shooting for my tv station. Excellent shots. Im going to buy the Nikon D-70s next week. What do you think ? I will be back in Florida for the landing.

Hi Mike,
I had the same question when I was there and had to actually drive out to see. Late afternoon to Sunset is the time to be there. You will be facing east for the shots. Take some water shoes with you and don't be afraid to get in the water. I would also walk around a little and try and get different perspectives. I ended up setting my tripod up in the water for my shots. I would also stay till the sun actually does down. I had some clouds show up before sunset and thought the sun was gone for the day. Driving out of the canyon, the sun popped out right before sunset with that sweet light. I about had a heart attack...LOL. Good luck. Rod

Rod,
Nice pics of AZ. I live here and am planning a trip around the state. I will be going to Sedona (Red Rock Crossing), Grand Canyon (south rim) & Monument Valley. Maybe over into the white mountains.
Regarding Red Rock Crossing, I have never been there. Is the best time sunrise or sunset for that location?
Thanks for your help.
Mike

Hi Rod,
very nice galleries. I like especially the shuttle stuff but also the rest. Very talented. Greeting from Luxembourg. Thierry.

Hi Rod

I've been photographing in Florida for a long time. Your images show what a lot of practice and skill and residency can do for wildlife photography. Thank you for your images and additionally for sharing your sites. As fore mentioned, I get to Florida quite a bit (Xmas, Brevard, and the left coast) and would like to contact you prior to may next visit. Yesterday I was at Chincateague, NWR and found a couple of Otters and my best shot was of course the head protruding out of the water. I did get to play an interesting game with it though.
Regards, Bob Swanson
Brian Sartor08-Mar-2005 00:22
You have many very nice wildlife galleries here. I purchased the Cannon 100-400 last fall -- I love it, but it has had limited use over our winter here. You've given me a standard to strive towards -- nice to see what the lens can do.
