Cooper's Hawk

Accipiter cooperii

I found this Cooper's along the Susquehanna River yesterday. It perched for a full half hour before it flew.
I must have taken over 300 shots hoping to catch it in flight, but, of course I missed it taking off.
The hawk was more patient than I was!

Nikon D610 ,Nikon 70 - 200 mm VR with 1.4X teleconverter
