White-tailed Buck

Odocoileus virginianus

Spring Valley Park
York, PA

This buck was quite far away so am happy to have gotten anything at all. I was surprised to see how long his antlers are already. He stood watching my dogs for several minutes as they rummaged around the creek below him.
He never did really spook and pretty quietly turned and walked away.
Fortunately, the dogs never did see him.
