My friend, Corinne Claiborne "Lindy" Boggs was married in this Church. She is now 90 years old.
Her husband, Hale Boggs, was a U. S. Representative from Louisiana for many years. His plane disappeared over Alaska in 1972 and was never found. Lindy succeeded him in Congress and served until 1990. For several years in the 1990's she was the U. S. Ambassador to the Holy See in Rome.
She now resides in New Orleans.
Her daughter, Barbara, was the Mayor of Princeton, New Jersey and died of cancer while still in office.
Her other daughter is Cokie Roberts of ABC News and NPR.
