The Thirty-Third Corps is one of the phantom
organizations created on paper as part of the
Operation Fortitude plan and was never activated.

The shoulder patch for the XXXIII Corps was approved
by the QMG on July 7th, 1944, and is in the colors of
the Corps' distinguishing flag. The three blue arrowheads
and the three white arrowheads indicate the unit's designation.
