The photograph is one of a series of four I took shortly after I
bought my D300. They have no artistic merit and I primarily regarded
them as a test of the ability of the camera to resolve fine detail.
The kite string was almost 2mm in diameter and nearly 200m had been
let out. I was interested to see that the camera resolved the full
length.

Then a wind change came in, and I took the photograph submitted. See
how the kite is pointing in one direction while the string is trailing
in two others. I was interested to see the effect of the wind on the
string.
