Panoramas

The Sigma SD9 is a great camera for stitched panoramas.

At the urging of Rick Decker, we have created a Panoramas Gallery to have a place to display these special images and thereby encourage others to try them. The general rules apply. In other words, do not place images here for critique per se, but rather those you would include in your best shots.

I was on DPreview Sigma Forum, looking for news because I'm tired with the noise level of my (old) 3MP digital camera but don't want one of those new 5MP or 8MP noisy cameras ...
I followed a link in a Dominic Groß's post and found this panorama gallery: exactly what I'm trying to do, panoramas with many shoots, using a long lens. The good news is that SD-9 is good at that too!

I am very impressed with these and am starting to do panoramas with an F-717, a 2200 printer and the Panorama Factory. But I wonder how you store large, 23" width photos. I posted a similar question in the DPR forum...my wife would like to know as well.

A second ? for Mr. Decker - what time of day did you photograph the "wave" and what was the walk like to it?
