Scorpion Fly

Male scorpion fly, apparently so named because the male has enlarged genitals giving the appearance of a scorpions sting - which is how I conclude that this specimen is a male.

Nikon D2x ,Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Micro
1/160s f/18.0 at 105.0mm iso100 with SU800, SBR200 Flash (don't know why the EXIF doesn't say the flash fired? the catch light on the eyes (and the 'tail') clearly show it/they fired...) full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Too much information. A great shot of a creepy pest. Vote.
