Stephanie:

Can you add polarizing filters to the Fuji F30? That may be important when photographing my artwork to reduce the glare off of the surface of the paintings as some maybe varnished. Do you know about that? Thanks, Pamela

Stephanie:

Thank you so much for all of your great photos and taking the time to post all of the exposure info. I am going to purchase a F30. To me I see much better film quality over the F10. I guess that is why they keep making new cameras all of the time! My old Nikon Coolpix 990 (a dinosaur) just bit the dust. Well actually the battery compartment fastener broke and there is no way to repair it. I need an all-round camera for photgraphing my paintings and travel and family, so I think this will fit the bill at a reasonable price.

Hi Stephanie, very nice galleries of your travels. Really enjoyed the China shots. You have a good eye for composition and are obtaining some quality shots out of your F30 (which was what led me to your pages). Super job on the shots of BC and the West Coast. I need to get out to Lighthouse Park and Tofino again.

Hello Stephanie : My name is Joseph Ho living in Taiwan and enjoying shooting very much. By searching the sites found your galleries and have a visit. Since I am going to buy a new DC, the F30 or Panasonic DMC-LX2. Would you please give me some ideas about the F30. I have see your test of ISO. I think the quality is good. The price of these 2 DC in TW are almost the same. Thanks for your help. Joseph Ho joseph2237@gmail.com

Hello Stephanie,
You have a wonderful set of photos and I specially appreciate the work you've done to show the results you are getting with your F30, which by the way are quite impressive. I've read all the reviews on this camera and I was considering purchasing one as my main compact travel camera for use during my next trip to Europe and your shots have sealed the deal for me, so I'll be purchasing an F30 soon. The last digital camera I took to Europe was a Canon Powershot G1 and I was quite pleased with the results I was able to get with it, but for future trips I want an even more compact travel camera. You can see some of my photos at my personal travel website athttp://www.gatortravels.com

Although I'm certain that the F30 is the camera for me, I would really appreciate it if you could email me full size files for your "Charleson Park 2 -1/3 EV" and "False Creek 4 -1/3 EV" photos so that I can take a closer look using PS CS2.

Thanks for all your work, and continue posting more shots for us to see.

Hi Stephanie, I can't thank you enought for your galleries on the F30. I have been debating between the F30 and the Canon PS SD700is. So far I am more impressed by the F30 picture quality. I have notice in your pix and those from other photographers that at ISO 200 the quality of the picture is compromised. Have you noticed that? It seems weird, but when I look at a series of shots with ISO ranging from 100-3200, I can pick out the 200 because of this change. Just looking for feedback. Thanks again.

Hi Stephanie,

The new F20 is coming out in two weeks and since you own both the F10 and F30, i thought you would be a good person to ask which one to buy. Do you think the F20 is a better deal than the F30? What are your thoughts on the differences in features and price between the two? The current U.S. price is about $225 for the F20 and $299 for the F30. Thanks!

Hello Bambang,

So far I am finding that the F30 is equal if not better than the F10 in photo quality (no surprise). There are some nice improvments such as aperture and shutter priority modes, and a separate exposure compensation button. On the downside, it is a bit harder to handle than the F10 - it no longer has that curved handgrip - and it seems to take a little longer to delete photos. But so far, I'm very happy with it.

Thank you for visiting, and for your comments!

Stephanie

Hello Peer,

Thank you. I hope that my pictures are helpful for people who are thinking about buying the F30 or the F10. I'd like to think that I've made a few converts along the way :)

It was very good of you to post the link to the French site which had the F30 review. It was certainly very thorough and the first that I've read so far. I don't know if I agree with all aspects of it, but in all fairness I have yet to test the F30 in every area so I guess I'll find out for sure!

Thank you for visiting!

Stephanie

Dear Stephanie,

I am considering buying the Fuji F10 and your wonderful galleries have helped me to make up my mind. I was wondering if you could tell me what camera case you use for your F10?

Also, it was fun to see your photos of Bar Harbor as that's where I live! I hope you enjoyed your stay here.

Thanks again.

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for posting the Fuji F10 pix (you have a great smile, btw). I am trying to decide which digicam to buy (my 1st!) and have narrowed the list down to #1 the F10, then Casio EX-z750, and Canon sd500. This summer I am going to the Alps (love hiking/climbing mountains) it would be great to see a few sample F10 pix of mountain scenery before buying the cam. You have alot of great mt. scene pix, so do you have any taken with the F10? If yes, then could you please post or email me a few? Thanks again.
