Crooked Bush, Saskatchewan

The trees, growing on a farm in The Thickwood Hills, northwest of Saskatoon, has become a hot spot for fans of the strange and unusual. Essentially, the crooked trees are a grove of genetically mutated aspens, but the local folklore surrounding the origins of these trees is what makes them truly wondrous. For instance - one story posits the trees are a result of “alien urine.”

The signage to find the Crooked Trees is not good, and there are always lots of lost people on the back roads looking for the Crooked Trees.

Was there on the weekend. Lots of snow still on the path and between the trees. The trees do have a mystical sense to them like they are trying to tell a story. One large white one in particular - like she was bowing to us. I felt compelled to bow back! Awesome - everyone should visit. Nice that someone put the walkway between the trees.

I went there this past month. The feelings I had were amazement, and I was laughing as I made my way through the path quickly. It was great!

travelled to the crooked bush today; very intriquing to be able to stand amongst the trees and not have an explanation for this mysteri0us creation... we seem to have anwsers for so many things in life. When placing the palm of my hand on a tree felt an energy from it as did my friend.

the trees have a strange mystical sence to them. i heard of a strange goings on at the site. apparently there was a bizzare wedding of sorts at the trees in sept of 05.....the 2 ppl who were married there were dressed in srange garb and have an undying love for each other. the priestess who married them was schooled inthe unknown and a mystic of sorts..................stranger yetwas a dream that one of the on-lookers had prior to the weddingof the 2 lovers.he dreamt of the prieatess and saw her ancient soul in her eyes.............sure enough his dream was a vision and it came to be on that day not one connection was made but 2........................the trees have a strange enegry about them and they effect many people in many ways take it from a person whose life changed upon a visit to the crooked bush.the husband of the priestess.

A friend and I spent a couple of hours there very recently. How unique, even more so with the bush right beside it growing straight and normal for comparison. We did some Qi-gong while there and found the energy also unique (a pulling forward and downward sensation). I think we'll also check it out again in late fall once all the leaves have fallen.
