This gallery represents photo documentation of unusual sightings of birds found in Oklahoma classified as either RARE, CASUAL or ACCIDENTAL in occurrence.

The classifications are in accordance with the Date Guide to the Occurrences of Birds in Oklahoma (Seventh Edition; 2019) published by the Oklahoma Bird Records Committee.

Each photo represents a rarity on either a statewide or regional level. A species is still considered RARE if it is observed outside of its limiting dates and/or assigned regions in Oklahoma as specified in the Date Guide.

The species names and listed order on this webpage follow the Checklist of North American Birds (Seventh Edition; 1998) of the American Ornithologists Union and its annual supplements.
