Sue: I've been in your gallery on several occasions. Keep up the good work. You had a question about Spanish dogs. I'm originally from Kentucky and there we called them hot dogs. When we moved to Findlay, OHIO about 10 years ago we started eating at this drive-in that has been in business since 1947. They call it a Spanish Dog but it is no more than a small hot dog on a bun with sauce and onions. The sauce is a bit more spicy than you might find somewhere else so maybe that is the origin of Spanish Dog. Thanks for visiting my galleries and asking the question. I am new at PBase and I get excited when I have a new message.

Hi Sue, thanks for your comment! The glassy effect on the water is nice bonus I got through shooting at dawn in that particular shot - the low light levels mean you can use quite long exposures to give surfaces like water a really smooth appearance. Glad you liked looking at my pictures, thanks also for drawing my attention to yours - you have some very nice work! All the best for the future, Rich

Thank you Sue for commenting on my latest of the Rose details pictures No. 12a, as you will see from my Macro Gallery I do like to take extreme close ups and I have long been fascinated by the beauty of nature and that quite often "the part is greater than the whole" and that the beauty is in the detail. Of course I did become aware of similarities when I was processing the picture and I think making it part black and white and part colour emphasised that fact. I do hope you(and anybody else that looks at this picture) is not offended, I think it may be the most delicate picture I have ever taken and hope that viewers of it will see it as I did, another example of how wonderful and beautiful nature is. Hi Sue, thanks for the visit. You have some nice shots yourself! I'm sorry to say I hate scrolling down so I find myself only looking to a few of the pics in every gallery. It's not just yours, it seems to be the new format here on pbase. I'm sure a lot of people likes this and probably it sets off the pics better against the bakground, but it's inhibiting for me - too lazy?? :). I dont want to nag or something it's just my honest comment.
