Peregrine Falcon

Palo Alto Baylands

I was out at the Baylands by the boat dock when this bird flew in overhead near the PGE tower and I grabbed this shot. I was trying out my just-repaired Canon 20D, and had my 300/4 lens on it, not really long enough for a distant bird in flight. Given that this is a drastic crop, I was pleased at the accurate autofocus of the newly-adjusted camera. This was my first photo of a Peregrine Falcon.
