Hello Ulrich, We meet in the Gray's Arch parking lot last Sunday. You showed me an image of the Sunrise from Setimi point still on your camera. I was wondering if I could meet you in the same parking and join you out to Setimi Point. I could maybe find my own way out there, but would enjoy hiking it with you early some morning.
Thank you for your consideration,
Rob Shields sgrmtnphotography

Hello, my name is Connie Collinsworth, Berea, KY. I make jewelry and would like to ask permission to use some of your photos of the Pennacle to put on the glass pendants (1 inch in size)that I make. I would be selling these in a local gift shop and would really like to use some nice pictures of the Pennacle. You can see some of my work here

Ulrich, I Want to thank you for posting the picture of myself on my Porsche tractor @ the Oregon Steam up July 24th 2010. I am the owner of the Porsche Master. I would like to share this photo with my Porsche tractor friends however your pictures are copyrighted and I am unable to share them. If possible, could you send a copy to me directly so I can share it. It seems I remember speaking with you at the show, is that correct?

Respectfully:

Heidi and Ulrich Burkhalter hi I want to first make a wooden boat is not too difficult nor too easy. But not just to start can I find a reference for the building. My question is it possible to get a boat plan. If it works I want the pictures of my creation to show what it became.

I'd be grateful.

Greatings from Ron

Hello Heidi and Ulrich,
I loved your pictures of Indian Fort in Berea, KY. I have an interesting situation, and I wonder if you can help. My wife volunteered for CAP(Christian Appalachian Project) several years ago in that area. That part of her life, and the area is very dear to her. I am having my uncle, who is an artist, paint a landscape of the area as a gift to her. He is however in California, and I need to find a few high quality photographs for him to use as a model for the painting. Would you be willing to give me a copy or two of your photos from your October 2008 album? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I was very pleased to get your kind comment about my wierd trees gallery. I also wanted to let you know that I am shooting with the FZ7, too. I like the way you put it in your bio sketch. I also dream of another camera, but until that day, I keep shooting.

Ulrich,
Leatherwood Creek is just off of the Jessamine Creek which leads to the KY River. It is not accessible from the River. It is also on private property which my old home use to border. The owner would let me down there if I called him and asked for permission for each visit (he was particular about who was on his property) He lives in Lexington and does not have a clue what goes on there. The challenge is there is no way to get down the falls without going through other properties. I moved last fall down to Herrington Lake otherwise I would invite you down. Now if you ever want to photograph Herrington Lake(not very scenic, although some good wildlife op's)let me know!

Thanks for visiting my site and for the nice comments. Leatherwood Creek is tucked away in Jessamine County near the Kentucky River. It used to be directly behind my home. I have since moved down to Herrington Lake in Garrard County.

Hi, Ulrich
I like the type of photography that excites you too. You have a lot of beautiful pictures here. I need to return and view them in more detail. Cheers.

Thanks for the compliments. The history of my area has many Swiss imigrants. There is a "Burkhalter" road not 2 miles from my house! http://maps.google.com/maps?q=portland,+or&hl=en&ll=45.46281,-122.977223&spn=0.018812,0.057163) and also a Helvetia road nearby. Best.
