marvellous works! I too have an A40 with some supplemental lenses. Just took 1,000 photoes with it and was considering updating to G5 or even 300D. After visiting your galleries I've decided to stick to A40 until I achieve something nearer to yours :) Good photography is not about high-tech and "money burning" equipment. Indeed.

Val,

You're doing a greqt job with your 2100uz -- it's a camera I know and love as well. Great collection of diverse and interesting images.

I promised I'd take a look at your galleries. Just wanted to give a big thumbsup - the zoo photos definately prove the benefit of the zoom lens, and the shots of Edinburgh and the Festival Calvalcade really show the city in its best light. Kinda puts my photosourcing expeditions to shame ;)
Hope to bump into you soon, and keep up the excellent work.

Your gallery is fantastic!! I love what you've been able to do with the A40. It inspires me to achieve the same. I was referred here from the Powershot-A form. I had a question about a comment on your main website, but couldn't find an e-mail address to ask you. Could you please drop me a line? Thanks in advance.

I was reading an SD9 posting on Rec.P.D. and came upon your URL. Well, it doesnt take an expert to see that your pics are way, way better!
Thanks for a great gallery!

Val,
Your photographs are very remarkable. I too like random nature
shots, but I fail to capture the dynamic range and colors you have.
I have a Toshiba pdr M70 and it shoots similar to the A40.
Very saturated but not unplesent colors. I found this url from a
post of yours in RPC. Thanks again.

Nice examples of what kind of pictures you can get with A40. I really liked when I could compare the originals with modified photos. Google groups directed me here. Thanks for good examples as I am thinking of buying A40.

Val,

I saw the link to your site in the PlusNet Newsgroup. Your work is very evocative, but what is particularly striking is the composition of many of your pictures - very fine!

Best Regards

Martin
