Walt was consistent in his use of available materials when drawing his cartoons. Apparently in the 1930’s he had sketched on his friend Jackson’s pad. In the 1960’s he was still drawing over existing pictures. I don’t know if he drew the original, but on this one he definitely drew the cartoon characters. WW strikes again!
