Thanks Paul!a I often use a polarizer, and I would have used it on all of those images. The monopod I use is a "Tracks Sherlite Staff" which is really a sturdy trekking pole. The height can be very quickly adjusted, and I have a ballhead and quickrelease mechanism on top which allows for the camera to be quickly mounted as well. The downside is that it is not very compact when at it's smallest. Hope this helps! Wayne.

The photos are spectacular do you use a polarizing filter as well? What monopod do you use or recommend, I have been hiking with my camera and find the dang tripod too heavy.

Hey Fido, thanks! I have always used trekking poles for hiking, and I found a good trekking pole which is strong and quickly extents which I use as a monopod. Often on hikes, there is very little time to setup for a shot (or I'm left behind!), and also I'm often breathing quite heavily, so this monopod really works well for me.
