White-tailed deer carcass: SERIES

In one 3 month period I saw 3 deer kills at various points along a popular trail system. These shots are from 2 of them. The deer may have been victims of coyotes or wolves or may have died from injuries and then become food for the scavengers. It gave walking through the woods a whole new meaning....and a very uneasy feeling.

Please note the second image in this series is particularly graphic.




Unfortunately, the beauty of life can be matched by the agony of death.

I recognize the bottom deer. Odd how its tongue was stuck out like that.

Super find and shots Penny. For a moment I thought these were taken at Quarry Trail recently.
