Hi Yi!! thanks again for all the very nice comments in my galleries, very cool... I love your work in here, you have great talent. We are just in the middle of planning our trip to Cape Cod, and I will let you know the dates asap. to answer your question.. I put the VR on when hand holding below 1/500 sec.. and leave it on for all tripod shooting., this lens is designed for that. I try many diferent combinations for focus, but with moving birds, it is on C, and still birds, on S., Lately, on C, I use the center focus setting, on closest subject, and the focus lock on off.. always. this link might help. http://www.luminescentphoto.com/articles/CAM2000/cam2000.html best to you my friend, looking fwd to seeing your images.

I want to thank you again for all the nice comments you have made on my pics. As we share a common interest, I thought you may be interested in attending the next New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) Conference at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA, July 13-15. I have been to two already and they were a lot of fun. Over a 1000 photographers attend. Not only do they have models to shoot, there are a lot of different classes going on ranging from Photoshop tips to photographers describing their experiences. If you stay in a dorm and eat at the cafeteria, it only costs around $230 for everything from Friday noon to Sunday after lunch. You can get more information at http://www.neccc.org/index.htm. Anyway, it was something I thought you may be interested in. Otherwise, maybe we can meet up sometime during the the year for a photographic outing (that park in New Jersey or some other halfway point). Jim Robertson

Hi, Yi I spent some time looking at your fall color collection. It's hard to comment on one image because they're are so good. I wish we had fall colors in Southern California. But, the mild temperatures are wonderful. Today, it was 72 degrees and clear. It's hard to beat that in January. gar.

Thanks for your kind words on my smoking plant photo. I spent some time in your gallaries and I think I like "fighting goldfinches" 2412.jpg the most but cardinal in the snow 284s.jpg was a close second. What great work, thanks for sharing.

I have started a small consulting business helping people write their personal histories. Photos and documents of the client are the base for the history. However, occasionally a client will want to add a photo from elsewhere to revive a memory. In this regard, I would like your permission to occasionally use photos from your galleries for this purpose. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to pay for such photos. But I assure you that I would not mass produce your photos for sale to the public. And I would avoid any photo of individuals that would compromise the privacy of the individual.
