Raul can do it all

Fisherman's Wharf, SF

Raul Alcala, in the middle, holds Alan McCormick's wheel in the criterium at Fisherman's Wharf. This was a course so crazy that there was a frogman in a rubber boat lurking in the Bay in case a rider went over the rail. McCormick won with a spectacular inside move on the last corner. Raul also has spectacular success with the ladies.

Raul Alcala made a brief comeback in 2010, and won the elite National TT event in his country (Mexico).

Hi James,
First off, an excellent series of vintage American bike racing photos!
I would love to post a couple of them in an online gallery that features bikes ridden by these racers (i.e. this one of Alan on his Schwinn and another of Bob Roll next to his Murray). This is the site address for my "Wool Jersey"album if you would like to see what is posted. Was happy to get a recent photo of Bob Roll next to my Team Murray bike, and would love to add additional photos of him if possible.
