Hi Richard--great photos! Can I ask for more information about the "McCrae Dressing Station" photo? Source? I'd like to identify the men in the photo. Thanks!

Zorpie, you may have already found this out, but the Quantum battery packs have a software upgrade that will permit the SB900 flash to recycle faster. I just found this out last night during a shoot and was I ticked off!!!! My SB900 just went dead as it was getting no power from my Quantum Turbo 2x2. I plan to send my battery packs off to Quantum this week for that $49 upgrade in software.

The same problem sort of exists with the SD-8..............there just isn't enough power to recycle the SB900. I just wish that manufacturers would not be so darn secretive and let us users know this stuff when we purchase products so that we can hit the ground running and not have these problems.

hi Richard I read your blog on d preview about the dust on the sensor of your d3 and wanted to talk to you about that. I have a friend who is a professional camera repair guy who i take all my gear to for cleanings and repairs. i have had problems from the beginning with my d3 sensor and dust. come to find out it isn't all dust or dirt, my friend just sent my d3 in to be serviced because he said the spots were not dust it was a actual problem with the sensor. he described it as something that looked like small burn spots or small water spots. Nikon obviously completely denies any problem and refuses to talk about it but there is defiantly something going on with these sensors that is not good. i would like your feedback on the problems you have had with your d3. thanks have a great day.

Hi Richard, Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier about the picture and the frame. First of all, thank you for the complement and second here is the link to the frame action. There are also more of his work if you do a search on Adobe exchange. He is excellent. Here is the website and the action.

Let me know if the link works and if not, I will email the action to you if you give me your email address.

Hi Richard,

Are you Alex's dad,not sure, but i think you might be,especially having all the Scotland photo's.

If you are, I hope you and Brenda are keeping well. Wee Alex is 3 years 2months now
and is doing great.I'll send you a few photo's of him if i've got the correct Richard (Can't be too many of you in Scotland)

Anyway the photo's are amazing, i'm really impressed with them all. I've used a good few
of them for my wallpaper.

Regards
Alex.
