Old Typewriter

We spotted this old typewriter on the floor in another room.
It probably was used in administrations.
How many lives were committed using this machine?
Will the names that passed over this ancient keyboard
ever be remembered?
What kind of errors were made and never corrected?

If you look by the cigarette, it kind of looks like a bloody hand smear!

Typewriter looks like a 40's era Royal or Underwood.

You should have taken the ribbon out of the typewriter. You could have seen what was typed on it. Just a suggestion

this is gorgeous. i especially love the cigarette butt on the floor and those smear stains on the floor. grease? blood? the shadow it casts on the wall is also beautiful, and we can see that they were using a black and red typewriter ribbon. wondering what year this place was closed down - was the typewriter obsolete because of computers? probably not - one still has to write case notes by hand even today. and nobody has time to print a quick address label - easier on a typewriter. vive la typewriter.
