Alex I was looking for some details on Tsing Ma Bridge and came across your pictures. It certainly brings back good memories for me.....I worked on the construction of the bridge back in 1993 for Mitsui Costain. I was the Section Manager for the Tsing yi Anchorage construction. I remember some very long hours worked to get the toweres and anchorages ready for the aerial spinning to commence for the main suspension cables, which was a date critical to the sucessful completion and hand over of the bridge for 1997. I visited HK again only last month after being away for over 10 years and it remains a very special city with fond memories for me. Thanks for sharing your pictures Regards John Edmunds

I also worked on the design of this bridge when I lived in HK. I did the drawings for the portal beams which span between the uprights

Excellent photos of this structure, I actually worked on this bridge back in 1993/1994 doing all of the diving foundation work for the bridge cassions North and South Towers working from the offices on Ma Wan Island...

Brings back fond memories of this wonderful engineering project...

beautiful photos and beautiful bridge! i've went to hk before and i went on the tsing ma bridge..... it was spendid! and my car broke down on it and i ended up walking the rest of the bridge cos' i left my mob at home!
poor me..... but it truely is a wonderful bridge!
