Scenes from Damascus





The oldest inhabited city in the world, I present to you Damascus.

These were taken in March 2009. Since I'd been to Damascus a couple of times before, I wasn't as trigger happy with the normal tourist shots, but instead worked on my interpretation of this bustling city the way I see it.

A nice surprise was the Sedneya Convent in the outskirts of Damascus, which looked as if it belonged in Greece rather than a predominantly Muslim country. Definitely the highlight of this trip.
