Pentax SMC-M 40mm f2.8 pancake lens test shots

In production between 1976 and 1984, this tiny lens is well deserving of it's "pancake" nickname. They seem to fetch around $80-100 USD on ebay at the moment, I was able to find one in a pawnshop for $50 Australian ($38 US)...makes nice sharp pics as well! All images shot in "natural", JPG *** with sharpening set to +1. Crops and resized originals are saved in PS6.0, jpeg level 10.

To the other guest, you're probably looking at the crop shots. Those are crops of the previous pictures, and look pretty bad because of how much they're zoomed in.

they are resized for the web.... so some loss of sharpness is to be expected.

Fuu, is this what you call sharp? They all look quite blurry to me - sorry to say that...
