We salute those who fought for & who gave us the USA back 248 years ago.
A descendant with at least 3 of my known, direct ancestors in the Continental Army (who fought & were willing to risk their lives for the principles of their new country), I pray - as we move forward in time - that as a country can keep the Democratic Republic that my ancestors helped to give us. Although very, very young at the time, I somewhat remember America's 200th birthday. My parents love for this country and of their long American heritage left a last impression on me from a very young age on. The last milestone birthday for this country marked a point in history where anything was possible for all Americans and Americans stood proudly together as a country. In just 2 more years, America will celebrate another milestone birthday. May the USA remain the great country that our forefathers gave us.

As we celebrate today with varied Summertime festivities, we should all ALSO never forget the true reason why we have a reason to celebrate today. There is meaning behind the Fourth of July. Let's never lose it.
