I was hoping to get a classic shot of a hippo with its mouth wide opened and yawning. But it was not meant to be for me. However, I managed to capture quite an evocative image here at the Mara River. Hippos love to spend much of their time in the water and I froze in time this moment of bliss of two hippos frolicking together in the water, with their eyes closed and what looks like a smile and total contentment on their faces.
