When I saw this photographer taking a picture of Degas' Little Dancer, I wondered if he had dance training as the position of his feet is similar to that of Degas' sculpture.
Degas started making sculpture in 1881, he said as "working documents".
When he died in 1917, he left about 150 sculptures in his studio in wax or clay.
About 75 were handed over to the sculptor Bartholome who made casts of them in 1920-21.
This figure shows the little dancer with real hair, a tutu and ballet slippers.
