One of the coolest and unexpected things I have seen. This pair of eagles were just standing on the rooftop facing the wind when after a few minutes of close contact and some interaction, the male screeched out then flapped his wings a few times and flew up and hovered over his mate for a few seconds. Then he mounted her twittering the whole time and I guess he had success mating with her. he then flew off and landed next to her again and they just stood together again. The whole thing lasted about one minute.
